The primary objective of IEEE-iSSSC 2020 is to provide a platform for both hardware and software researchers to interact under one umbrella for recent development, applications and research outcomes on sustainable energy, signal processing & cyber security together. The first part of the program is designed to address the theoretical and practical aspects of use of Renewable Energy Sources (RES) in a sustainable manner. The state-of-the-art of second part of the conference is Artificial Intelligence (AI) application to signal processing, signal processing for communications and networking, especially adaptive and array signal processing. It also address various signal processing algorithms pertaining to biomedical signal processing analysis architectures, Multimodal Signal Processing, the image and video processing etc. The last part describes the cyber security challenges in digitalization and the growing networking of machines and industrial system. It covers the Internet of Things (IoT) in smart cities, Machine Learning & Big Data Analytics in Smart Grid, IoT application in renewable energy sources (RES), cyber security system in Micro Grid, and Artificial Intelligence in Smart Grid and Block Chain Technologies in Smart Grid etc. The conference has Plenary Talks and Expert Panel discussions as well.

The department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE) was established in 2007 and runs under Graduate (UG) to cater the challenging needs of technical excellence in all areas of electrical engineering such as Control & Automation, Power systems, Power electronics, Electrical machines & Drives, Renewable Energy Sources (RES), Energy management, Distributed Energy Sources, Micro Grid & Smart Grid etc. Looking into the future perspective of technology transformation & industry requirements, the department has introduced some new subjects pertaining to the thrust area of engineering such as IoT, Artificial Intelligence, and Big data analytics etc. in the UG curriculum, so that the graduate students can overcome the technological gap between academia & industry. In addition to the strong undergraduate program, the department is also offering Post Graduate (PG) program in power electronics & Ph.D programs in core & multidisciplinary engineering. The faculty members of the department has been constantly carrying out research on many innovative technologies and regularly publishing their research outcomes in various national / international conferences and journals as well. The department has also undertaken a number of R&D projects/schemes with the financial assistance from AICTE, UGC, DST & MSME including international collaborative research organizations.


IEEE GIETU SPS-Student Chapter

The IEEE Signal Processing Society is the world’s premier professional society for signal processing scientists and professionals since 1948. Signal processing is the enabling technology for the generation, transformation, and interpretation of information. Its goal is to keep students abreast of the latest information and to serve the public at large. GIET University, SPS student branch chapter was established on March 12, 2020. Its aim is to organize various technical events such as workshops/conferences, invited lecture etc. in connecting with professionals, academics and students, getting involved locally which will provide exciting opportunities for networking, research, and project collaboration with various funding organizations interested in the field of signal processing. In addition, it will fully utilize the power of Internet of Things (IoT) for keeping the student volunteers informed about activities, opportunities & new initiatives. It is important that GIETU, IEEE student branch chapter has designed various events such as winter school, workshops, technical talk, various design competitions, career planning etc. in association with IEEE Signal Processing Society to familiarize the young students with future perspectives of technological readiness in industries.

The IEEE PES Student Branch (SB) Chapters have an amazing environment for students to improve their technical, leadership, and soft skills etc. The PES SB chapters help the students to achieve great success in their future career as engineers in the global world.GIET University, SPS student branch chapter was established on March 16, 2020. Its aim is to improve their technical activities with PES support. GIETU, IEEE PES SB chapter offers various programs, activities, professional networking, special events/conference, etc. It provides valuable opportunities to student members at a local level, enabling their personal and professional growth. Some of the proposed important events are IEEE Smart Village, IEEE Smart Cities, Future energy challenge competition for innovation, conservation & effective use of electrical energy etc.
